About this piece
The lip is pinched by hand and tested with water before the jug is fired, which is why it pours in a stream instead of a dribble. Good for batter, milk, and a jug of flowers at the end of the week.
Size & capacity
20cm high × 12cm diameter. Capacity 1.5 litres.
Material & care
Vitreous enamel on 1.2mm steel, fired twice at 800°C. Dishwasher safe, oven safe to 230°C, freezer safe. Not microwave safe. Avoid metal utensils and steel wool to keep the glaze glossy. Glazes are formulated without added lead or cadmium and produced to food-contact standards (EU 1935/2004, FDA 21 CFR) — see Materials & safety.
