About this piece
The mug that started the workshop. Thrown on a steel blank, dipped twice, then spattered by hand so every piece carries a slightly different scatter of speckles. Thick enough to keep coffee hot to the last mouthful, and it takes a knock without chipping.
Size & capacity
9cm high × 9.5cm diameter. Capacity 300ml / half pint.
Material & care
Vitreous enamel on 1.2mm steel, fired twice at 800°C. Dishwasher safe, oven safe to 230°C, freezer safe. Not microwave safe. Avoid metal utensils and steel wool to keep the glaze glossy. Glazes are formulated without added lead or cadmium and produced to food-contact standards (EU 1935/2004, FDA 21 CFR) — see Materials & safety.
